Mariah Carey is all geared up to release an album comprising of her most famous ballads.

The release of the album is scheduled for October 20. The Ballads will be featuring 17 ballad tracks, which include, Dream Lover, One Sweet day and Hero.

Well we wish Mariah loads of luck for her album.

Mariah Carey is all set to play gritty character in a new movie called Push, she will be seen playing the role of a Harlem social worker, who cares for an obese, HIV-positive teenage girl who becomes pregnant after she is raped by her dad.

Mariah says, “I’m not going to be a pretty picture but actually it wasn’t about that. The role is a supporting part, a little scene, but it’s a very important scene. The character is a social worker. She’s inexperienced.

“I don’t want to reveal what happens but it’s kind of important, that character, because things are revealed through her.”

Well that’s a new good avatar that Mariah is slipping into.

Contrary to reports that Mariah is not getting along well with her in-laws, Mariah’s brother-in-law is going gaga over the singer and believes that elder brother Nick did the right thing.

Reuben Cannon said,”I think he made a great decision.

“When you’re a celebrity at a young age like he was, you’ve seen so much.

“It’s just a privilege to have her as part of the Cannon family.

“I love Mariah. Who doesn’t love Mariah Carey?”

He also praises elder brother Nick for being supportive, “Whenever I feel frustrated, I just hit him up [for] big brother advice,” he says.
