Now that’s what you call a “Sexy Comeback”! Mariah Carey though doesn’t bare it all but doesn’t do less with the skin color suit and also answers 20 “revealing” questions. So catch the February 9th edition.

Butterfly is considered to be Mariah Carey’s most personal album ever. I have always been wondering as to what was it about this album that allowed Mariah Carey to pour out all her emotions.

Whatever it was…but it gave Mariah that Diva status she banks on now … and a hit album to her fans

Butterfly is considered Mariah Carey’s most personal, confessional-sounding record she’s ever done. It marked the point that she attained full creative control over her music, which continued to move in an R&B/hip hop direction with material co-written and co-produced by rappers such as Sean “Puffy” Combs and Missy Elliott.

And it also marked her metamorphosis from a girl to a woman. To which she says,

“It was a metamorphosis for me, but I don’t know if it was a growing up thing. It was more allowing myself to celebrate my life and deal with my life in adult terms. It’s funny. It’s my friends’ favorite album, too. Sometimes when we’re on vacation we’ll just go and listen to Butterfly. If there is one record that people who aren’t necessarily fans of mine were to buy, I would say to get Butterfly. Because you don’t have to be a fan of hearing me hit the high note 25 times to appreciate some of these songs that show a different side of me. It’s definitely a milestone.”

Mariah Carey is a brilliant singer, writes her own songs, looks average and is a diva in a complete pop-star package. There might be a lot of things that inspire her to make the kind of music that she makes. On being asked if relationships can fuel her relationships she replied,

“It does. I can take a scenario from eighth grade and go, “Okay, I’m going to write about this as if it’s now.” I could take a scenario from the year of Butterfly, and write about it like it’s yesterday. I wrote the lyrics to “Honey” in Puerto Rico on this boat. I kept rewinding the track and watching people jet-ski, thinking, “That would be cool for the video.” I never think about the video when I’m writing the song, usually, but the whole atmosphere seemed right.”

Well… its good that she keeps those relationship influences in moderation… else we would get to hear something like Janet Jackson’s “Thinking of my ex” song heheheh

The Forbes magazine has come up with its first-ever ranking of the 20 Richest Women in Entertainment. With Oprah Winfrey finishing at the No.1 spot for earning $1.5 billion in her extremely savvy career, our Diva is not far behind.

Mariah Carey has finished at the No.6 spot. Forbes estimates that Mariah Carey has earned $225 million during her career as a Pop heartthrob.

Mariah Carey like all daddy’s girls would be the brightest star ever for her father who might be watching her from above with pride.

Mariah didn’t have her father by her side, during the crucial years of growing up… her parents got seperated when she was just a little kid… and having grown up with her mom… she knew very little of her African American father. As she grew up she eventually tracked him and met him and got to know him as they shared very little but quality time with each other.

Before his death, he had also written her a very emotional letter wherein he told her that she has always been a star for him even before she hit the charts.

Mariah Carey is being called as a witness in a £140million moneylaundering trial.

Jacob Arabov aka Jacob the Jeweler has called his celebrity clients like Mariah, Jay-Z, P Diddy to vouch. Arabov, who makes huge gold and diamond encrusted watches and pendants, is named i a charge sheet with 40 others for having contacts with the Detroit drug cartel the Black Mafia Family.

Arabov is also accused of selling jewelery to the Black Mafia Family and failing to file proper tax forms to hid where the cash came from.

His lawyer Benjamin Brafman said his (celebrity) “customers would testify about his good character and how “they themselves made substantial purchases in cash from Mr Arabov and all the money was handled properly”.

I wonder what will happen if Mariah vouches for him and he is proven guilty… that might call for trouble for Mariah.

Mariah Carey, for all that criticism she gets, is still one of the most successful singers in the industry and she really works hard for the fame she has got. Normally in the industry full of celebutantes we see people giving their work a raw deal once they become popular. Thats not the case with Mariah, she is still driven to work hard. Explaining that she says,

“I’m driven because I don’t think that I’m famous. [Laughs] Seriously … I don’t talk about my past a lot. I guess I’m Cinderella in a weird way, but I saw things before the age of 12 … that most people may never see in their lives. It was really intense stuff, which is why people can say, “Oh, isn’t she trying to be down now with the rappers and the hard-partying rap posse?” But the truth is, I want to relate to people who had a similar life experience. I think one of the reasons I stay grounded and stay hungry is because I didn’t get to experience my fame when it first happened, as a young kid starting out.”

I wish Mariah Carey and Shakira could give a lesson or two to people like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

Now Mariah Carey’s name finds a place in Playboy’s famous sexy cover girls…better late than never.

But sad knews for those who were expecting her to bare all… but she is not gonna pose nude… Sorry folks

Well…In a way its good… Mariah looks sexier when she is covered up… If she poses nude… there might be a chance of Mary Carey suing Mariah Carey for defaming her surname for daring to pose nude with a body like that

Well we all know Mariah Carey… the beautiful butterfly girl who has the most amazing voice in the world..!! But We also know that if its one thing this woman can’t do is act.

Now if you thought that was all there is about this girl… Ha..!! Think again…!!! Mariah has got a real sad sense of humour..!!

Something that perhaps only she can laugh for… take for instance the following statement of hers…
“There is a light at the end of the tunnel…hopefully it’s not a freight train!”
