A representative for Madonna has denied she “laughed hysterically” after hearing chitchat of poor ticket sales for Mariah Carey’s upcoming US tour. Hearsay in the American press hint the music icon Madonna took great bliss in the apparent news of her pop rival ‘Mimi’ besieged to fill the venues for her forthcoming live dates.

The New York Daily News claims Madonna holds a feeling of dislike against Carey, following a disagreement between the duos earlier on in their careers. “Madonna laughed hysterically. She has been asking her tour promoters to email her Mariah’s sales,” a source told the paper.

However, Madonna’s spokeswoman denied the information, insisting: “She has no negative feelings toward Mariah.” In the meantime, Mariah’s spokesperson said the live dates were set to be a great hit, commenting: “Her tour is selling well. She’s cancelled a few dates so she can add shows in larger cities.”

Mariah Carey’s line of business is back on track and so is her sexy figure.
Her latest album has gone platinum six times and she’s still riding far above the ground on the charts.
And “Mimi” is a lot lighter on her feet.
“I have been on a diet, which is totally boring, not even worth discussing because you’d be bored even hearing about it,” Mimi said at a press event.

One body part Mariah has no problem keeping in shape are her gorgeous legs, which just earned her the “Gillette Goddess” award.

“Genetically my legs are the easiest thing to keep in shape,” Carey said. “Everything else is a little bit more difficult.”

When cajoled by reporters, Carey came clean with some diet tips.
“It’s called a morsel diet,” Carey said.
“It’s like mainly really boring soups. Like maybe you get like a little bit of chicken in a vegetable soup. Vegetables steamed. Boring, steamed fish and chicken the same way every night,” the hip-hop singer said.

Mariah Carey received seven nominations for the 2006 Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. This year’s ceremony takes place September 8th at Renaissance Waverly in Atlanta, Georgia. All finalists and winners reflect the performance of recordings on the Billboard R&B/hip-hop and rap charts during the one-year period from May 28, 2005 through the issue dated May 20, 2006.
