Singer, Mariah Carey insists that post marriage she is very very happy and is enjoying life.

The Touch My Body hitmaker wed Nick Cannon in a secret wedding ceremony in Bahamas earlier this year- says that marriage has eased the burden and stress of her career.

Lets hope this happiness is a joy forever.

Singer Mariah Carey has revealed that she is ready to have kids of her own with hubby Nick Cannon but would want to raise them away from the media.

She said, “You can get caught up in Hollywood-land or celebrity-land, and that’s maybe not the best thing for kids, ’cause they didn’t ask for it.

“I really feel like it’s very important to be responsible and to think, ‘Well, maybe if I do this it’s not the best thing for my child.

“You have to take a backseat a little bit, and as someone in the public eye, you’re not used to doing that.”

Mariah Carey went a step further and branded Cannon as the ‘better dad’ for her kids.

She adds, “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad.”

Well is that the criteria she looks for in guys?

Rumors are abuzz that pop diva Mariah Carey achieved her ‘eternally 12′ figure through weight loss surgery. But the recently married singer denied the rumors saying that she worked out to get slim.

The star lost a whooping 32 pounds (14.5 kilograms) in a few months and displayed her hot figure during the launch of her E=MC2 album. Her remarkable weight loss set the rumors ringing that the diva went under the knife to get a fabulous figure.

Mariah snaps back, “I know the U.K. is freaking out that I had some crazy plastic surgery done, but… honestly, it’s working out and diet. Look at what I’m eating right now: olives!

“It makes me upset that people think I’ve had surgery, ’cause let’s discuss how annoying the dieting process was. My girls will eat really good fried food, and I also love sweet plantain and rice and peas, but I can’t eat it! If I eat it, it’s small!”

Lets hope she doesn’t follow Janet Jackson’s footsteps.

Mariah Carey is planning to walk down the aisle again in an extravagant $4m wedding. Unlike her intimate and secret Bahamas wedding, her $4m wedding to Nick Cannon will be an extravagant affair.

According to an insider, “It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track.”

Another source reveals,  “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot last month on April 30th in an intimate and secret wedding ceremony in Bahamas.

Mariah Carey recently married Nick Cannon and is enjoying her new married life.

She said, “[It’s] fantastic. It’s a stone smash!”

And Mariah is leaving no stone unturned to support her new hubby; she attended the Operation Smile Fund raising event in NY to cheer her hubby, DJ for the night.

Cannon is also enjoying living life with his new wife.

Cannon said,” It’s a beautiful thing. It’s a beautiful situation … carrying on and on each day.”

When quizzed how’s Mariah to live with? “I’ve been doing my research for quite a while. We’ve been friends for a while,” said Cannon.

Mariah Carey revealed on Ellen DeGeneres chat show that she will be repeating her vows with Nick Cannon once again next year- and it would be a perfect wedding not a quickie like their first one.

Carey told on the show, “Instead of trying to be like, ‘you’re invited, but, shhh, don’t tell anybody,’ we’re just going to have another [wedding] next year. [Nick’s] plan is to have one every year.”

Mariah revealed that the people who attended their intimate wedding ceremony were “mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress.” The couple only invited three close friends as “we wanted to be on the beach and we didn’t want other people taking pictures.”

When De Generes asked Mariah what she felt when people brand her marriage as a publicity stunt, she said, “We both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks, and will think anyway, but we don’t really care about that.”

“My parents divorced when I was three and I didn’t have many examples of what was the ‘norm. But with Cannon I found the right person.”

I wonder if Cannon found the right person?!?

The 37-year-old singer who is always known for her aggressive nature, claims she is not enough demanding.

Judging by her words, this diva has certainly gone crazy.

Butterfly is considered Mariah Carey’s most personal, confessional-sounding record she’s ever done. It marked the point that she attained full creative control over her music, which continued to move in an R&B/hip hop direction with material co-written and co-produced by rappers such as Sean “Puffy” Combs and Missy Elliott.

And it also marked her metamorphosis from a girl to a woman. To which she says,

“It was a metamorphosis for me, but I don’t know if it was a growing up thing. It was more allowing myself to celebrate my life and deal with my life in adult terms. It’s funny. It’s my friends’ favorite album, too. Sometimes when we’re on vacation we’ll just go and listen to Butterfly. If there is one record that people who aren’t necessarily fans of mine were to buy, I would say to get Butterfly. Because you don’t have to be a fan of hearing me hit the high note 25 times to appreciate some of these songs that show a different side of me. It’s definitely a milestone.”

Mariah Carey is a brilliant singer, writes her own songs, looks average and is a diva in a complete pop-star package. There might be a lot of things that inspire her to make the kind of music that she makes. On being asked if relationships can fuel her relationships she replied,

“It does. I can take a scenario from eighth grade and go, “Okay, I’m going to write about this as if it’s now.” I could take a scenario from the year of Butterfly, and write about it like it’s yesterday. I wrote the lyrics to “Honey” in Puerto Rico on this boat. I kept rewinding the track and watching people jet-ski, thinking, “That would be cool for the video.” I never think about the video when I’m writing the song, usually, but the whole atmosphere seemed right.”

Well… its good that she keeps those relationship influences in moderation… else we would get to hear something like Janet Jackson’s “Thinking of my ex” song heheheh
