Mariah Carey has devised a plan to avoid smudging her lipstick; she has simply hired a girl who works as a drinks holder for the diva.

The drinks holder girl holds straw and the drink for Mariah so that she doesn’t smudge her lipstick.

According to Mariah’s vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant, the ‘Touch My Body’ singer apart from her personal drinks holder also has many other helpers who help her out with many things.

Carrie said, “There was a woman that held her drink with a straw. That’s all she does, flies around the world as a drinks holder.”

David also revealed, “It’s like old monarchs had food tasters.

“She has a drinks holder so she doesn’t smudge her lipstick.”

And what work does hubby Nick do???

The Forbes magazine has come up with its first-ever ranking of the 20 Richest Women in Entertainment. With Oprah Winfrey finishing at the No.1 spot for earning $1.5 billion in her extremely savvy career, our Diva is not far behind.

Mariah Carey has finished at the No.6 spot. Forbes estimates that Mariah Carey has earned $225 million during her career as a Pop heartthrob.

Mariah Carey, for all that criticism she gets, is still one of the most successful singers in the industry and she really works hard for the fame she has got. Normally in the industry full of celebutantes we see people giving their work a raw deal once they become popular. Thats not the case with Mariah, she is still driven to work hard. Explaining that she says,

“I’m driven because I don’t think that I’m famous. [Laughs] Seriously … I don’t talk about my past a lot. I guess I’m Cinderella in a weird way, but I saw things before the age of 12 … that most people may never see in their lives. It was really intense stuff, which is why people can say, “Oh, isn’t she trying to be down now with the rappers and the hard-partying rap posse?” But the truth is, I want to relate to people who had a similar life experience. I think one of the reasons I stay grounded and stay hungry is because I didn’t get to experience my fame when it first happened, as a young kid starting out.”

I wish Mariah Carey and Shakira could give a lesson or two to people like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.

What is the secret of Mariah Carey’s high voice that only dogs can hear her top range? Well… the secret is… sleeping in a waterproof steam-room that is specially designed to lubricate her throat and keep her vocal chords in form.

She recently admitted in a recent interview with Marie Claire,

“Literally I’ll have 20 humidifiers around the bed. Basically it’s like sleeping in a steam room,” Carey tells Marie Claire. “The bed is all terry-cloth, the ceiling is pitched so the water can’t fall on my head, and it drips down to my side, and the TV is behind glass.”

I assume the wet-suit is also a designer one… remember… she is the diva and this crazy fact about her proves that she has taken her success too much into her head.

Hmmmmm..I smell a rat over here. Mariah carey has a real big Fanbase yet she was not-so-attractive crowdpuller for her flick. She has eight grammies to her name but she is at times such hugely popular artist and at others seems awfully unpopular.

Does this signal the end of a great singing career? Carey’s track record has been good enough and as an example we can consider the whooping success of “Emancipation of The Mimi”. But the question remains “Is Everything REALLY alright”

Her music also has a strong gospel music element to it.

However she was criticized for her work being too similar to Whitney Houston. She has also been (some times) unfairly compared to Celine Dion.

Her interest in hip-hop led her to fuse her sound with hip-hop which fuelled allegations that she was merely cashing on the then rising popularity of hip-hop. But Mariah promptly dismissed such allegations by reportedly saying,”People just don’t understand, I grew up with this music”.

But through all the controversies it is generally acknowledged that Mariah is one of the best singers the world has ever seen. Therefore Mariah rules!!!!!
