Singer, Mariah Carey insists that post marriage she is very very happy and is enjoying life.

The Touch My Body hitmaker wed Nick Cannon in a secret wedding ceremony in Bahamas earlier this year- says that marriage has eased the burden and stress of her career.

Lets hope this happiness is a joy forever.

Singer Mariah Carey has revealed that she is ready to have kids of her own with hubby Nick Cannon but would want to raise them away from the media.

She said, “You can get caught up in Hollywood-land or celebrity-land, and that’s maybe not the best thing for kids, ’cause they didn’t ask for it.

“I really feel like it’s very important to be responsible and to think, ‘Well, maybe if I do this it’s not the best thing for my child.

“You have to take a backseat a little bit, and as someone in the public eye, you’re not used to doing that.”

Mariah Carey went a step further and branded Cannon as the ‘better dad’ for her kids.

She adds, “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad.”

Well is that the criteria she looks for in guys?

Newly weds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are experiencing the trouble of their marriage just after two months of togetherness.

Apparently Nick Cannon is finding it hard to keep up with Mariah Carey’s diva attitude.

A source says, “Nick is basically around to attend to her diva-ish ways.”

“When they were in Hawaii where Mariah was filming the video for ‘I’ll Be Lovin’ U’, Nick dashed off to buy her gifts at Tiffany and Co. and Louis Vuitton to keep her happy.”

Mariah has also become a control freak as she has been controlling hubby Nick Cannon’s career.

An insider reveals, “Nick had signed on to perform at a sweet-sixteen party before he and Mariah got married. But now Mariah needs to oversee and approve his career moves.”

“There are no more silly small-time gigs. She wants him to do big venues and projects. She definitely wears the pants in the relationship.”

Poor Nick Cannon!!!!

Mariah Carey is planning to walk down the aisle again in an extravagant $4m wedding. Unlike her intimate and secret Bahamas wedding, her $4m wedding to Nick Cannon will be an extravagant affair.

According to an insider, “It’s going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks. Picture a wedding on the scale of Liza Minnelli’s (to David Gest) and you’ll be on the right track.”

Another source reveals,  “She wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot last month on April 30th in an intimate and secret wedding ceremony in Bahamas.

Mariah Carey recently married Nick Cannon and is enjoying her new married life.

She said, “[It’s] fantastic. It’s a stone smash!”

And Mariah is leaving no stone unturned to support her new hubby; she attended the Operation Smile Fund raising event in NY to cheer her hubby, DJ for the night.

Cannon is also enjoying living life with his new wife.

Cannon said,” It’s a beautiful thing. It’s a beautiful situation … carrying on and on each day.”

When quizzed how’s Mariah to live with? “I’ve been doing my research for quite a while. We’ve been friends for a while,” said Cannon.

Mariah Carey revealed on Ellen DeGeneres chat show that she will be repeating her vows with Nick Cannon once again next year- and it would be a perfect wedding not a quickie like their first one.

Carey told on the show, “Instead of trying to be like, ‘you’re invited, but, shhh, don’t tell anybody,’ we’re just going to have another [wedding] next year. [Nick’s] plan is to have one every year.”

Mariah revealed that the people who attended their intimate wedding ceremony were “mainly people there to do my hair and help me with the dress.” The couple only invited three close friends as “we wanted to be on the beach and we didn’t want other people taking pictures.”

When De Generes asked Mariah what she felt when people brand her marriage as a publicity stunt, she said, “We both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks, and will think anyway, but we don’t really care about that.”

“My parents divorced when I was three and I didn’t have many examples of what was the ‘norm. But with Cannon I found the right person.”

I wonder if Cannon found the right person?!?

Mariah Carey and new hubby are eager to start a family. Apparently the couple is looking out for a good nursery.

It is rumored that Mariah’s assistant had called up LA’s Petit Tresor baby boutique for a nursery.

Carey’s assistant requested the store to send some fabric samples and work on a butterfly theme.

But the recently married singer’s manager, Benny Medina, has denied the pregnancy rumors.

Mariah Carey is over the moon these days, as her hubby Nick Cannon has given her a wedding gift worth a whooping $16million : A 14-carat, pink diamond ring.

Mariah recently sported the rock on her finger when she was dining at NY’s Waverly Inn and it left all diners at the restaurant mesmerized.

A source close to the couple said, “Nick has been besotted since he first met Mariah on a US TV show three years ago. Just before they got married, he got down on one knee again and gave her the pink diamond ring he’d had custom made. She was stunned and thrilled.”

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot last month in a secret and intimate ceremony.

Mariah Carey tells in the latest issue of People’s magazine, “We really do feel we are soul mates. I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.”

Cannon also praises his wife and says, “She is beautiful on the outside and 10 times as beautiful on the inside.”

Lets hope they always feel like this for each other throughout their lives.

Mariah-Nick have also made their marriage official-by filing a marriage license on the Caribbean Island of Eleuthera.

Bahamian attorney in Nassau, Monique Gomez says,”Bahamas marriage requirements state that a couple must stay in the county for 48 hours, must be over the age of 16 and should obtain a valid marriage license within 90 days.”

Carey-Cannon obtained the license within the required time period.

Gomez said, “The minister would make sure [the license] goes into the registry. It’s still a valid marriage even if it’s not filed. Anywhere in the world.”

Nick’s sister, Linda Cannon said,” He called and told us all about it.”

A friend of Mariah revealed, “Everyone is happy to see her happy.

“And it could work out — some people know each other for five years and get divorced, maybe this is true instant love.”

Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola and Nick was engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, which was later, called off.
